I bought an XLR8 Interview video device, and it was DOA. I emailed Daystar customer service and got an almost immediate response - on a weekend, no less. After trying a couple of different things, it turned out the unit was defective. Daystar arranged for the return of the defective unit and sent out a replacement pronto, and the replacement works perfectly (as a bonus they included a couple of Daystar logo pens, a nice surprise). They needn't have done that, but it was a nice touch, and appreciated. I've recommended Daystar to people since the days when I first bought a Mac IIfx and needed additional video output for it in a classroom, and I'm delighted to see there's still a high level of service and attention. Their products fit the bill both in terms of quality and price, and I'm glad to see they're still at it so many years after I first became acquainted with their products.
